After yesterday's poor recovery hot period, today's was worse. Yesterday Grotto started at 1729 and it was another short marathon, ending today at 0645 for a duration of about 13 1/4 hours. It was obvious from before 0845 that this was another fast recovery -- maybe that's part of the problem (?), though to me it implies that there is plenty of water available. Anyhow, the recovery hot period began at 1149 (recovery period just 5h 04m), had a duration of 9m 52s, and only occasionally had Mastiff reach 4 feet or so for brief moments. India was only about 3/4 covered. There was a Feather restart, but it lasted just 2 1/2 minouts or so and was accompanied by a few surges in Giant.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So now 8 days plus, the longest interval since mid-April.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At around 0900, Fand and Mortar had a decent event cycle, with a River Pause and one continuous Bottom Vent eruption of nearly 10 minutes.
