latest issue of Yellowstone Science today, and noted two geyser-related
articles. The first article, "Control of Hydrothermal Fluids by Natural
Fractures at Norris Geyser Basin", is by Cheryl Jaworowski (Geologist working
for YNP), Henry Heasler (Yellowstone's Park Geologist), Colin Hardy (Project
Leader of Fire Behavior Research Work Unit of the US Forest Service) ,
and Lloyd Queen (Professor of Remote Sensing at University of Montana). It
includes some interesting illustrations showing surface temperatures overlaid on
aerial photographs. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

"Norris Geyser Basin's Dynamic Hydrothermal Features" is by David Shean and
discusses the use of historical aerial photos to detect change. It
includes numerous photos from 1954 to present showing various features (The
Reservoir, Porkchop Geyser, the Ragged Hills) as they change over
time.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
