<DIV>Well, this site needs some sort of e-mail! Every year in October I
receive the annual report of the previous year of the California Division
of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources. Usually there is rather little of
interest, and this case is the same. However, for those interested in the future
of the hot springs in the Long Valley Caldera area, the following occurred
during 2005:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>-----</DIV>
<DIV>BASALT CANYON</DIV>
<DIV>Mammoth Pacific, L.P. completed two high-temperature production wells in
the Upper Basalt Canyon area of mono County ("CA-11672" 57-25 and 66-25). These
were the first production wells to be drilled in this area. The wells are
approximately 2 miles from the Casa Diablo Geothermal Field. A pipeline is under
construction that will be used to transport the produced hot water to the
existing power plants at the field.</DIV>
