I've been thinking about a Oregon trip for years now and trying to motivate myself to go.  Mickey HS would be included in such a trip. But it's a long ways from Albuquerque. I've seen the big geyser at Hot Creek in CA, but blew my chances to see Beowawe and Steamboat Springs.  I need to get to Mickey before it's destroyed by people who don't respect the beauty of natural things. Maybe GOSA should start a writing campaign to try to get more protection for Mickey HS?  It's one of only a very few geyser fields left in America outside of YNP. -- Will Moats ********************** MO420 is the original vent of Mickey Geyser.  MO430 broke out between March 1992 and March 1994. The website referenced has some interesting information on the hot springs and general geology of the Alvord Basin.
