This "short" interval fits with the "here and there through the day" eruption times seen recently.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Plume had intervals of 60 and (only) 52 minutes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This morning's grand eruption was 1 burst.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Down at the Giant end of the basin, there seemed to be a _lot_ of available heat and water today. Despite strong (at times, howling) winds, Daisy had a below-average interval of just 2h 53m; Oblong was short at 4h 02m; even Riverside was short at 5h 48m. And even while Bijou was jetting very strongly, there was boiling bursting (not depth-charging) in Mastiff between hot periods. Yes, this at barely 1 1/2 days after yesterday morning's eruption. Grotto was evidently coming out of a marathon -- at 0745 it was and had been off -- but the first action other than protracted boiling in Grotto Fountain, was an eruption by Startling Geyser at 1330. Grotto Fountain came on at 1341 and Grotto at 1346.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Giant hot periods were at 0959 (weak, d=4m 11s), and 1205 (i.e. and apparently stronger as there was depth-charging in Mastiff).
