Replacement of this section of boardwalk had been requested by maintenance supervisors Jim Knoelke/Grant Gifford each year for the past several years.<BR><BR>"When I asked the boardwalk crew leader why the new boardwalk was moved over six feet, he told me it was because of an active vent that was too close to the old boardwalk.
