[Production Logging]<br>In <a href="http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb.com/Display.cfm?Term=multiphase">multiphase</a> flow, large bubbles of the lighter <a href="http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb.com/Display.cfm?Term=phase"> phase</a> that form by <a href="http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb.com/Display.cfm?Term=coalescence">coalescence</a> of small bubbles under certain conditions of fluid flow. The large bubbles occur during <a href="http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb.com/Display.cfm?Term=slug"> slug</a> flow and plug flow. The term is named after G.I.
