<st1:place>Yellowstone</st1:place> this year and we have encountered
bears <SPAN class=932225218-31052005>in the UGB </SPAN>on <SPAN
class=932225218-31052005>all t</SPAN>hree trips. Twice while waiting at
Artemisia and this time while waiting at Giant. <SPAN

size=3>On May 30<SUP>th</SUP> at Approximately 10:52 a grizzly bear was spotted
across the river from Giant walking up the basin. It wandered up past the Purple
Pools then up past Grand. The bear turned right just before the boardwalk
junction by <SPAN class=932225218-31052005>S</SPAN>awmill<SPAN
class=932225218-31052005>,</SPAN> <SPAN
class=932225218-31052005>Crossed</SPAN> the river just below Castle<SPAN
class=932225218-31052005> and went into the trees</SPAN>. </FONT></P>

class=932225218-31052005>by </SPAN>Sawmill. The bear stayed in the open most of
the time and <SPAN class=932225218-31052005>many people were</SPAN>
rewarded with a glimpse of this beautiful animal.<SPAN class=932225218-31052005>
