(Poor stuff, having to transit artificial reservoirs, cities as Kansas City and St. Louis and even New Orleans (sorry, no offense intended) in order to get to the ocean.) But aside from that, I can point to a source that eliminates various tributaries and states unequivocally that the Amazon, as a single traceable steream is by considerable the longest.
