Geyser Report Wednesday, June 10, 2015

I have been unable to access Geyser Times since I got home, so this is
strictly from my notes:

Fountain: 1117 D=36
Morning's Thief: 1118, 1120, 1126
Jet: 1041, 1050, 1057, 1105, 1112, 1118, 1122
"Rejuvenated": 1212ie
Pink Cone: 1146 start per Lynn Stephens (I saw it ie after Fountain)

Constant: 0803 (0805, 0806), 0909 (0911, 0913)

Norris closed the Porcelain Basin area starting at the Museum at 0930
to begin construction on the boardwalk.  I was told the overlook would
be accessible come the weekend, but for now, there is equipment coming
in via the upper boardwalk.

Both Biscuit and Black Sand Basins are closed.  The parking lots at
Old Faithful are also being closed for work there--hopefully not all
at the same time.  There must be a huge workcrew coming in to
accomplish all this simultaneously.

The fox den area now has small orange cones along the roadside.  I saw
nothing of the foxes coming or going, and wondered if the fox had
moved the den. The bison are hanging tough on the W side of the park,
and traffic jams abound.  [And here I have deleted a bit of a rant
about rules and enforcement.]

In the heat of the afternoon yesterday my WYS neighbor was preparing a
pot roast.  That apartment must have been an oven in itself--until
that fortunate hailstorm moved in about 1830--small enough hail to do
no damage, but what a cool down!
The pine pollen was all over my car this AM.
