[Geysers] Winter data loggers 2013-2014

I can’t answer what it would take to move the logger as I am no longer welcome in that department, but I can add that Little Cub has been behaving erratically for at least a decade.

What would it take to get the Plume logger moved to Little Cub. LC has been exhibiting some erratic behavior lately perhaps similar to what Plume did before going dormant. Adding a logger on Lion and / or North Goggles would be nice, too.

I have just received the data from last winter and I have not had a chance to open all the files yet. This is what the email from Dr. Heasler said though for failures:

“

have not yet downloaded Artemisia nor Great Fountain.

Logger status as 29 April 2014:

Fountain - OK but thermistor was ~1m out of place

Spouter - chewed by animal, new logger deployed 4/29/2014

Plume - electronics failed, downloaded file full size, but only 1 day of data displayed, new logger deployed 4/29/2014

Beehive - chewed by animal, new logger deployed 4/29/2014

Aurum - thermistor failing, new logger deployed 4/29/2014

Grand - OK

Oblong OK

Old Faithful - OK

Grotto - chewed by animal, no logger currently deployed

Riverside - thermistor failing

Daisy - moved by animal but logger still working

Castle – OK”

Jake and I will start working on the data as soon as possible.
