[Geysers] Request for Info.

We're in the same boat as Lynn and will probably not make our July trip
(OMG how painful it is to write those words). Zayne's early college
program was free for only so long as he did things like show up for
class, turn in assignments and get a passing grade. So, while I make no
excuses for his behavior, we ended up doing sort of the opposite of
getting something for nothing, to whit, getting nothing for what turned
out to be a check with a whole lot of 0s on it.

Our plans for August are still 8/10-8/17(ish). Optimistic Karen says
that gives us more time to get in shape, that it's easier to hike the
back country in August than early July because it's less marshy and the
bug population has decreased significantly, and if Fan and Mortar comes
out of its spring doldrums, visiting in August gives you a slightly
better shot at seeing it. And, of course, Giant and Morning will have
re-activated by then. Heart-broken Karen wants to cry rivers of tears
because we have not missed a July visit since we started coming to the
park in the late 80s (and we hope the finances hold out so we'll make it
up in August (and maybe round up some gazers to do a Perseids party).

That said, we have not cancelled the rooms quite yet. If any of the
gazers can make use of a room in the Old House (it's a double but they
know there would be 3 of us and needed room for an air matress) the week
of July 6, we'd be happier to make arrangements for the rooms to go to
gazers than to release them just generally to Xanterrible.
