Thanks, Steve. Just had to stop what I was doing and sing your masterpiece!
Ever the editor: gotta make it "Jingle Bells" and "fumaroles" for my permanent copy. . ,
Happy Christmas to all!

No, I didn't forget. It's just that inspiration was delayed a bit this year. Here's hoping for a better
new year filled with joy from our strange and wonderful obsession.
Season's Greetings to All,
Steve Gryc
Colter’s Hell
(to the tune of “Jingles Bells”)
At Gardiner we arrive
In a beat-up Chevrolet,
Through the park we drive
Gazing all the way.
We see a boiling spring
Erupting to great height,
What fun it is to ride and sing
A gazing song tonight.
Oh, Colter’s Hell, sulphur smell,
Brimstone all around.
Oh what fun it is to see
Mud boiling in the ground.
Travertine, stinking steam,
Sinter everywhere,
Sputs and holes and fumeroles
To make us stop and stare.
A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
On out to Iron Creek
Guidebook at my side.
The day was cold and dank
Misfortune seemed my lot,
But right along the river bank
The Cliff Geyser upshot.
Oh, Colter’s Hell, sulphur smell,
Brimstone all around.
Oh what fun it is to see
Mud boiling in the ground.
Travertine, stinking steam,
Sinter everywhere,
Sputs and holes and fumeroles
To make us stop and stare. _______________________________________________
