[Geysers] OPAL POOL (Schwarz for Dick Powell)

We noted something similar this summer, and probably did get some pictures.  We saw the pool half empty, down at the rim of the inner crater, but clearly hotter than in recent seasons (blue and no mats.)  The outer crater was clearly wet and had several rocks lying around in it.  We watched the pool for a few minutes and it was slowly rising, but we didn't have time to sit and see what eventually happened.

There was not much in the runoff.  I wondered if it was acting as a periodic spring, and if the rocks were old.

What have others seen?

On Friday, 10 August 2012 (his first visit to Midway this summer) Dick Powell noticed at 1407 that OPAL POOL had ejected rocks and appeared to have erupted at some time.  He took pictures.

Does anyone have any information about or pictures of Opal this summer when it looked normal or with debris around it?
