As of the end of September 2010 when I left no cleaning had been done other than the occasional bit of litter. The vent was clear of obstructions then. They did take out the big rock that was thrown in a few years ago, but it was not blocking the vent. it appears it just heated up. One of the most striking changes (other than Oblong's change) was Topsoil Spring - every minute or two (got to talking rather than timing), the water level rises, bubbling increases and it starts to thump.
