For the sight impaired there are many types of talking watches and clocks on
the market.  Some might work for gazers under dark,
bundled-up-against-the-cold conditions.  Have any of you had experience with
such devices?

This evening (Tuesday, Jan. 4), on my Steam, Stars, and Soundscapes tour,
Clepsydra was off and Fountain was post eruptive at ~7:30pm.  The watch is
usually buried under layers.

 

No, I did not get to see any of the Giantess eruption.
