Fan & Mortar was watched from about 0730 on (except for Beehives). There were no events all day until the eruptive cycle that began during a Beehive break. During the lock, High was very HIGH. The eruption was backlit with the western sky just before dark. Both Fan & Mortar (at 2155) were exceptionally beautiful and powerful. The moon came up as we were biking back. 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the eruption!

Besides Oblong's intervals being shorter, the durations of the eruptions are often 10-11 minutes. They appear to be shorter in height, however.
