I went out in the Geyser Basin after lunch. I was skiing through the Inn parking lot when I noticed Plume ie 1255. A little farther down the trail, I turned around to watch Old Faithful erupt, and noticed that Beehive Indicator was erupting (1301 ie). I had time to get to the overlook across the river, and Beehive erupted at 1314 with some nice rainbow colors in the spray. Riverside was predicted for 140 pm, so I headed there next hoping to catch it. It erupted at 1427. Grotto was off. Bijou was on. Grand was a mostly empty crater. Sawmill and everything in its group was off when I went by. When I got to Castle, there were bison right on the bike path, so I waited a while to see if they'd wander on, and watched Geyser Hill. Aurum erupted at 1507. The bison did not seem inclined to move quickly, so I headed up to the Geyser Hill. The ramp by Beehive is very treacherous. If you saw someone with antlers posing for the webcam, that was me. Karen Low -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
