[Geysers] FRS Radio Channel

It is still channel 4 "subchannel" 5 (at least it's the squelch control on
Motorola and Cobra FRS models.  Some old ones have slightly different
frequencies for the "subchannels.")

HI folks:

Planning to be in the park from July 7 - 21 on a photographic trip, is the
FRS system still used to announce eruptions etc?  if so, what
channel/privacy code etc

 

I'm an Amateur Radio Operator, so i know how to behave on the air
