All of the reported times are from Tuesday, June 23 unless otherwise noted.

I talked to Scott today, and he said he had a tour, so I will do my
best to send in the day's activity as I had the day off. There was a
certain point in the day when Tara and I went to Black Sand, and I
also have some holes in my notes from dinner and a short trip I made
tonight.

First, a bison calf died in Doublet Pool yesterday (6/22). The version
of the story that I heard goes that the calf was trying to catch up to
it's mom as the herd was moving across Geyser Hill towards Grand, and
it attempted to hurdle Doublet but didn't quite make it. The carcass
was there today when I was waiting for the 1412 Aurum. It was,
however, gone when I went up tonight around 1915.

Second big news is that the gazers saw Fan and Mortar 1131ie. I was
eating lunch at the time. Therefore, I had no idea that it happened
until I saw the note in the logbook at 1200.

Other notes from today:
Daisy was 0734, 0956, 1219, 1427, 1641, and 1901ie.
Fountain was 0616ie and 1257.
Rocket major at 1135
Aurum at 0835, 1412, and no eruption as of 1925.
Beehive erupted at 1216 preceded by the 1201 Indicator.
Grand was 1257 (T1Q).
Oblong was 1316 and 1917ie.
Lion was 1342 initial, again at 1512. No idea if there were any more.
The two Plumes I recorded were 1401, 1711.
Riverside 1535 and possibly again tonight around 2115ie?
Grotto 1533ie

I got to see my first ever start for Penta at 1646. I felt that it was
such an important occasion, I would let it be my first geyser shower
of the year. It was still erupting as of 1745, and from the geyser
chatter I heard, it was 1917ie still, but that there had been some
pauses in the eruption.

There was a Castle major at 1656ie.
I also took some friends out to Great Fountain for sunset only to find
that it was erupting. It was 2050ie. When I drove up at about 2055, it
was at a pause between bursts, but the next burst began with a nice
blue bubble and had a few very nice bursts that complemented the
sunset very well.

I will probably be spending my daylight hours when I'm not working at
Fan and Mortar started in about 3 days now that it proved capable of
having a short interval.

Go F&M!
