Fan & Mortar erupted sometime after 2300 8/3 and before 0400 8/4. At 05:15 the puddle in the side of Lower Mortar had already drained, Bottom Vent was making burping sounds and Fan's vents were steamy, particularly River Vent. Interval was just under 5 days. The eruption soaked the gravel a few feet beyond theboardwalk, but did not soak it to the bumper log.

Atomizer--When Atomizer majors are occurring as "quick comeback majors" (7 to 12 minutes after a 60 second minor), the intervals are generally 13 1/2 to 13 3/4 hours. When the after splashing following a 60 second (or longer) minor fails, intervals are 16 to 18 hours. When the after splashing fails, the next minor is 2 to 2-1/2 hours, then it is 55 to 90 minutes before the major, for a total of 3 to 4 hours after the failed after splashing before the major occurs.
