Finally (whew). GIANT 1251 August 17. Interval 7d 07h 03m. Chart attached.
Duration unknown (but greater than 90 minutes) due to an approaching severe
storm that caught us before we got back to the store.

After all the lousy hot periods yesterday, that 1402 Grotto turned out to be
a short marathon. Nobody was out in the overnight rain to see it end, but
based on today's start time and using a regression formula (educated guesswork,
for sure) it probably had a duration of 10, not longer than 11 hours, ending
at midnight or so.

This morning, what was definitely the recovery hot period was at 0728 and
had a whopping duration of 3m 51s. The 0914 hot period was somewhat better,
lasting about 6 1/2 minutes. The GHP at 1041 had a duration of 3 1/2 minutes.
And that at 1152 had a duration of 1m 32s. This was about the time we commented
about another day of long lousy hot periods separated by short lousy hot
periods.

Then Grotto Fountain started at 1206 (d ~ 32m) and Grotto rather lazily
started at 1222.

Jim called the rising water at about 1238 and the hot period began at 1240.
(a short 48 minutes after the previous). Feather was quickly joined by
Satellite, Rust and SW vents. Mastiff repeatedly surged several feet high, hitting
fully six feet a time or two. Within the first two minutes of the hot period,
Cave was bubbling and it was 4 to 6 inches by the 6 minute mark. At 1247
Cave abruptly began erupting 2 to 3 feet high. Shortly thereafter Bijou came on
and Mastiff dropped, but Feather et cetera continued to play without any
weakening. Giant began to surge and the start almost happened at 1250; my watch
had 1251:06 when I knew it was going.

Meanwhile, Atomizer minor 0945, d ~ 35s.

Artemisia 1044ie.

Fan and Mortar a poor event cycle ending at about 0930.

Riverside 1103.

Daisy 0218E, 0538E, (missed in the rain), 1153.

Oblong 0745ie and 1148.

Grand 0313E and 1132 (2 bursts).

Castle 0101E. There should have been one last evening and it must have been
a minor.

Aurum 0921. Plume yes.

Per the radio, Great Fountain was at 1150.

Scott Bryan, ready for Eino's.
