Kitt saw Lion at 0658 this am but didn't report anything else. There was a lot of steam in the basins this morning as the temperature was below freezing early on. Might have been an Oblong, which did have a very high eruption at 1045. Kitt and I saw Great Fountain at 0824 with a delay of 8 minutes after the 3m boil. There were some nice high, thin spikes at the beginning. Other Lions were at 1017 and 1133. The 1017 quit after a minute but then restarted into normal height after 30 secs. Plume was at 1018 and 1108; Grand at 1024 G1C; Oblong at 1045; Aurum at 1045; Beehive at 1055 and Daisy at 1137; there had been a v.r. of Daisy at 0800. Grotto had not erupted as of 1330, no water visible in Grotto Ftn. Giant's platform was very dead...no splashing visible from anything at the time I left. Hope we'll have a daytime Giant early in the week. No other gazers but Kitt and Ralph Taylor today. ----- Original Message ----- From: TSBryan at aol.com To: geysers at wwc.edu Sent: Saturday, September 30, 2006 6:53 AM Subject: [Geysers] Morning September 30 OK, based solely on the attached image, tell me what was erupting down basin this morning, September 30, 2006 at 0650.
