The following reference is for a most interesting paper. It summarizes the
resurgence of activity at Rotorua following geothermal bore shutdown and
regulation. Of extreme interest to me are the records of various thermal
features at Whakarewarewa, Rotorua, and vicinity and their response to the
rising water levels. There is also an article covering some of this
information in Transactions VII. Also of interest are numerous photographs of
rejuvenated hot springs and geysers coming up in people's gardens, along
residential streets, etc.

Title: "Recovery of Rotorua geothermal field, New Zealand: Progress, Issues,
and Consequences."

Authors: Brad Scott, Dougall Gordon, Ashley Cody.

Reference: Geothermics v. 34 (2005) p. 161-185.
