Our family will be coming up to Yellowstone from June 17-June 25. Reading all the geyser reports along with all the animal sightings the past several weeks has certainly whetted our appetites for the visit. We have 2 questions - 1) We bought radios this past winter but want to know what channel(s) are used by the gazers so we can be alerted to geyser activity while we are in the Old Faithful area? 2) We have been to the major geyser areas (Upper, Lower, Midway, Norris) over the past several years and are planning to do so again on this trip but would also like to get to one or more of the lesser known geyser areas to see some other geysers. Our 2 kids are experienced hikers here in Colorado so we could go at least a little away from the roads (probably up to 6-8 miles RT) and they are willing to wait a few hours to see geysers erupt. What do the experienced gazers suggest? Thanks. Todd Miller -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: </geyser-list/attachments/20050608/767714bb/attachment.html>
