[Geysers] Earthquakes & Geysers - timeline between the two (2 weeks)

If you were going to do a study of Norris disturbances and compare them to
near or distant earthquake activity you'd have a very tough time of it.
You'd have to explain why there are no disturbances in some years, and in
others (like 1984) there were numerous ones, both large and small (the small
were often confined to the back basin.) You'd then have to explain why some
earthquakes are/aren't associated with occurrences/non-occurrences of
disturbances.

I'd suggest you read the USGS professional paper on Norris that came out in
the late 80s, the one with an aerial photo of Steamboat in water phase
inside the front cover. Their discussion of Widespread Contemporaneous
Changes (USGS-speak for disturbances) was quite involved.
