Lakeshore Geyser

This postcard shows Lakeshore Geyser during one of its more active periods. The picture was taken, August 8, 1911. Note the name Lakeside on the picture. In 1911, Arnold Hague, apparently forgetting that members of his survey team had named it Lakeshore in 1885-86, started calling it Lakeside. The first name was later reapplied.

The above picture shows Lakeshore in it's more common Spring and Summer state. Covered by lake water.
